Night Show and Dinner
Panama has been the melting pot for several cultures. Native Indian groups
created their own acoustic instruments from elements in nature, then the
Spanish conquerors injected Old World influences, and the Afro-Caribbeans
contributed to gave birth to what is now one of the most attractive and
folkloric heritages of Latin America. This evening show is fully allegoric
with typical acoustic music and musicians and dancing. Women wear the unique
Pollera, a handmade cotton dress complemented with precious body and head
jewelry. Men typically wear relatively simple attire; however, their hats are
handmade by meticulous artisans.

popular destination. You will leave Pier 18 en route to the Island. Once
there, you will walk to the Taboga Hotel for check-in. Take advantage of all
the facilities of the hotel, including: kayaks, a swimming pool, dressing
rooms, showers, etc. (except rooms). Lunch is included in this package at the
hotel's restaurant. Return to Pier 18 late in the afternoon.

It is said that the word Panama, in an Indian dialect, means abundance of
fish. You will get an early start onboard a boat along the Pearl Archipelago.
The captain will take you to the best fishing spots. By noontime, you will
head to Taboga Island, known as the Island of the flowers because of its
constantly blooming flora. A fresh seafood lunch will be served here. Explore
the Island and swim in its splendid beaches.

Spend the day fishing for Peacock Bass in Gatun Lake in the Panama Canal.
In the early 1960s the Peacock Bass was seeded into Gatun Lake. Today, its
abundant population is the reason why this day will guarantee great fishing.
Leave Panama at 6am and head to the town of Gamboa to board your boat. For
better fishing chances, your captain will take you to the lake's coves where
you will be able to admire the rainforest and wildlife from the boat. Return
around 1pm.

The Chiva Parrandera is the partying bus that is specially designed to carry a
Murga band (typical Panamanian band) that plays Latin and salsa music. The
bus' front seats have a bar system that holds glasses and bottles in order not
